Abstract

Military forces engaged in a peacekeeping role may face hostility from civilian populations, and standard training for first-aid and medical response in combat may be inadequate in dealing with such situations. This paper reviews some of the unorthodox and improvised weapons which may be encountered during the management of civil disorder.
