In March of 2020, the world promptly ceased in-person gatherings and lectures at universities and other academic institutions during an unprecedented and deadly pandemic. While the medical community swiftly rose to the occasion, resident physicians and medical trainees were affected both clinically and academically. Across the nation, traditional bedside learning, simulation training and academic assemblies came to a halt and residency programmes were challenged to rapidly adapt their curricula to a virtual platform.1 2
As part of an institutional review board-exempt, quality improvement project, US military gynecologic surgery and obstetrics (GS&O) residency programmes joined together to develop an innovative, educational podcast, created by residents for residents.
